Getting back into the groove of things!

It’s been a while since a last posted, and recently after reading tony’s blog, I’ve decided to make more time to blog and what not. So what better way to get back into the groove of things than by talking about how I get back into the gym after a long break.

I like making lists.

1. Take her easy – Try not to overload yourself by going to 5 or 6 classes a week. Last time i did that after a break i just got burned out.

2. Work on the Basics – The basics should be the foundation of more advanced techniques. Master these and your advanced stuff should look a lot better

3. Keep a Routine Going – No doubt about it, you’re going to be sore after the first 2 or 3 classes, don’t stop, just keep attending classes.

4. Teach – If you’re sucking, try teaching some younger belts. That will force you to think about the technique so it becomes more clear in your mind.
